Yoga Healing

Yoga movement and breathing are powerful healing modalities, for processing physical, mental, and emotional pain. 

The goal of yoga is to get to know and connect with our true inner self and the divinity all around us.

This leads to ease within ourselves and enjoyment of life.

CURRENT OFFERINGS:

Natural healing modalities through herbs and through yoga have impacted my life in such deep ways. I've been a student of yoga for over 6 years and I am currently deepening my own practice of yoga to share this beautiful healing with others.

Weekly Beginner Yoga Class

Starting Monday, August 19, 2024, we will have weekly beginner yoga classes at DTN Nutrition, a healthy (and very yummy!) tea and smoothie shop in downtown McAlester, Oklahoma. Students will get $1 off any drink purchase after class!

These classes are a great way to get to know yoga through physical movement (asanas) and our breath. We each have unique bodies and range of flexibility, and the poses and movements we will be doing are introductory. I'll be guiding us through correct alignment to not only avoid injury, but to also leave class feeling taller, stronger, and more confident.

Classes will be held every Monday at 5:15pm.

Doors close promptly at 5:15pm so please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in and get set up.

Price is sliding scale, from $10 to $25, meaning please pay what you can afford. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. ​Oh, and your first class with me is free! :)

Please bring your own mat and yoga blocks. I have limited yoga mats and blocks available for rent ($5). Wear comfortable clothing (nothing tight/restricting). We will get sweaty!

Talk on Yoga and Meditation

Join me on Wednesday, August 14th at 5pm for a talk on yoga and meditation, at the McAlester Public Library. We'll cover basics, like what yoga is and what it is not, the benefits these ancient practices can have in our lives, including our physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing, and how and where you can practice locally and at home.
